On October 30th and October 31st 2023, Scale Without Borders hosted its annual summit for immigrants and newcomers in tech at none other than the Royal Ontario Museum. Throughout the two days, we brought the entire immigrant and tech community — key corporate leaders, leading startups, government and non-profit — to support, celebrate, hire and engage the brightest immigrant tech talent and entrepreneurs.
Summit 2022 was a hit last year! This year, we’re going even bigger and better!

That’s a lot going on! For a breakdown, we’ve created a little glossary for you.
Talks & break out sessions: the greatest talks you’ve ever attended about all things being an immigrant, a tech leader, or even an entrepreneur; and more hands-on smaller scale sessions to make sure you can walk away with tangible impact.
Exhibition Hall: a glorious exhibition in the museum, except it features all the employers who want to hire you, the providers who want to support you, and other partners to share their resources with you.
Invites to receptions: we’re planning underground activities for specific folks like immigrant women in tech and immigrant entrepreneurs. Keep your eye out for invites for these.
Networking: exactly just that; and it will be curated so you decide who you want to connect with. Ofcourse, this doesn’t go without saying, this will happen with great music & some refreshments.
Scale After Dark: Evening party with VIP guests including speakers, executives, and other special guests, taking place on day 2 (October 31st 6pm onward).

FAQs
Is the event taking place fully in person? Yes, and it is taking place at the Royal Ontario Museum (100 Queens Park, Toronto, ON M5S 2C6)
How do you define newcomer or immigrant? We don’t - you do! If you identify as an immigrant, go ahead and grab the ticket for newcomers and immigrants. If you do not, go ahead and grab the ticket for allies (or employers).
What are the dates and times for the event? The dates are October 30th and 31st. The programs begin at 11:30am EST and end at 5:00pm EST on day one and 1:30pm EST - 5:00pm EST on day two excluding VIP night. Your schedule may vary slightly based on which ticket you purchase. The agenda above provides more insight into what each ticket holder has access to.
What is your refund policy? All Immigrants in Tech Summit passes are non-refundable.
Is this your first time doing an annual summit? Nope! This is our third annual summit and we’re just getting started!
